Brantley Overcomes Toilet Training Hurdles to Join Easter Egg Hunt

Today began with me feeling utterly frustrated over yesterday's events. The idea of Brantley missing out on the Easter egg hunt at our church, an event he adores, was unbearable. Determined to make it happen, I resolved that we should take him if we could extend his bathroom breaks to 15 minutes by lunchtime.

Considering he started the day with only 5-minute breaks, it seemed like a daunting task. Yet, true to form, my resilient boy stepped up and reached the 15-minute mark by mid-morning.

He could go to the Easter egg hunt!

The outing was a first for Brantley as he climbed into our car donning underwear beneath his jeans for the first time in his life. Despite being a tad late due to his bathroom schedule and experiencing an accident during the hunt, he got to participate and he waddled through the field placing eggs in his basket.

We are still battling constipation, but my

Mama heart is happy tonight. This roller coaster of toilet training is full of twists turns and accidents but it is one that will hopefully end in an improvement to Brantley’s quality of life. And that makes each twist, turn and accident worth it.
